Nevertheless, this adjustment can either be performed by a hex cap captive screw, as described in The basic Long Lens Support Bracket idea, or via the utilization of a small QR clamp acting as a regulator at the horizontal rail front end, as described in detail in the article Create a Heavy Duty Long Lens Support Bracket.
But some users are not so fond of neither method of making adjustments. Meaning, they do not like both hex keys and QR clamps.
In this respect Hejnar Photo has introduced a Knurled Thumb Screw in order to replace the hex socket captive screw for the vertical adjustment of their LLSB.
